You would have to book well in advance to get into this popular Italian above the Chepstow pub in Bayswater as there are only ten tables; it has the dubious honour of being one of Michael Winner's favourite haunts.

Straight from the Lebanese alleys, Assaha Village is a unique and rustic restaurant that could also be doubled as a cultural centre or a small museum. Located on Queensway in one London's most cosmopolitan areas, Beity is an all day restaurant that comes through as a warm and friendly place drawing crowds into its contemporary styled interior. The menu makes an interesting read and starters like warak inab, vine leaves stuffed with rice, parsley and tomato, and grilled aubergine with sesame sauce and lemon juice add to that appeal.
